Discharge

When a load switch turns off, there may still be additional voltage seen at the output pin due to the capacitance of the load. This voltage may take a considerable amount of time to bleed off which may result in erratic operation of devices such as microcontrollers. Several load switches have the option of a Discharge Circuit which shorts the output to ground when the main power FET is opened to safely and quickly discharge this stray capacitance.
