Continuing with the unique applications that the LT2940 addresses, this application shows an adjustable 0W to 10W load box with undervoltage lockout, thermal shutdown and reverse input protection. The last application shows the LT2940 monitoring a 12V, 8A motor. The MOSFET serves as a circuit breaker in case the current exceeds the specified value. If tripped, a reset command at the LATCH input pin re-enables the motor. Motor input power is monitored at the PMON output.
