The LT3518’s demoboard is the DC1160A. This is a single-sided PC board with all of the components mounted on the top side. The LT3518 entire solution footprint can be fit into only 20mm x 15mm. If a double layer PC board were used and passive components were mounted on the underside of the board, the solution footprint could be reduced by as much as 50%. All of the components used in this design are low-profile, enabling a very compact overall solution.
