This graph shows the efficiency of the previously shown application circuit. With a nominal input voltage of 3.3V and a PVIN of 24V (only for Buck Mode), the LT3518 offers 93% efficiency when delivering 1.5A of LED current. High efficiency is of significant importance in most LED applications in order to minimize the power required to generate the necessary amount of light and to minimize any potential thermal issues.
