The MPC830x product family integrates the NXP e300c3 Power Architecture® core and is supported by the same tools and operating systems of the predecessor parts. Customers currently using the PowerQUICC I and PowerQUICC II processors can benefit from the reduced power, DDR2 memory support, CAN ports, twin DUART interconnects and much higher performance of the MPC8306, MPC8306S and MPC8309 processors.
