This slide shows an overview of the ST portfolio for stepper motors. As shown previously, the powerSpin is the traditional method. EasySpin integrates adaptive decay to control the current automatically; dSPIN integrates the motion engine that allows the removal of much of the workload of the microcontroller. The next topology is Cspin which is similar to dSPIN, but for high power requirements. The following slides will explain how a stepper motor works to help understand the benefits of these products.
