Capacitors can have low impedances in parallel with the transistor at RF frequencies, so RF amplifiers can have current flowing through small sections of the circuit at any given time. A small change in ESR can easily lead to a large power loss in the circuit. The lowest ESR and highest Q are an absolute must in these cases.
