STMicroelectronics’ FDA803D is an innovative 1-channel class D audio amplifier, suitable for a wide range of applications, especially in automotive. Thanks to wide operating battery range it can be powered by a standard car battery but also stepped down voltages, down to 3.3 V. It features a unique open load and offset in-play diagnostic that allows perfect control of the speaker. The FDA803D is tested according to CISPR 25, Class V (fourth edition), and shows an outstanding level of efficiency which allows a reduced weight and current consumption of the systems. It has a power limiting feature which allows it to adapt output power to small speakers.
