EPCOS’ high-current inductors also include automotive-grade options
The EPCOS brand ERU series of high-current inductors includes a flat-wire helically-wound coil, which results in extremely low resistance. Along with a short winding path, it has a high winding fill factor and utilizes less of the core window as no bobbin is needed. The large contact area provides excellent thermal performance in a compact, low-profile footprint.
The flat-wire, high-current choke series has recently added a number of innovations to the existing portfolio, including a double E core construction and a reduced footprint. The four additional models, along with the standard E and I core models, provide the market with various energy storage solutions for a wide range of applications. For DC/DC converters, point-of-load converters and voltage regulator modules, the ERU series is a great choice.
