MID-PLC Power Line Communications Coupling Transformers

The high-voltage-coupling transformers protect equipment and individuals from electric shock while reproducing the PLC data signal across an isolation barrier. Würth Elektronik partnered with Texas Instruments to develop this series to minimize loss in data integrity. The transformers meet IEC 60950-1 reinforced insulation at a working voltage of 400 VDC, for a dielectric rating of 4k VAC.

The MID-PLC power line communications coupling transformers offer an insulated coupling transformer designed for use with Texas Instruments’ AFE03x power line communications (PLC) analog front-end (AFE) IC’s.
