Transil™ Protection Devices

STMicroelectronics realizes that more and more manufacturers use automotive-grade, high reliability devices for the protection function across all applications. The increased reliability helps improve the confidence level of the end user due to the fact that these products are tested and have passed the most stringent testing conditions.

ESDA25LY

The ESDA25LY is a dual monolithic voltage suppressor designed to protect components which are connected to data and transmission lines against ESD. It clamps the voltage just above the logic level supply for positive transients and to a diode drop below ground for negative transients. It can also work as a bi-directional suppressor by connecting only pin 1 and 2.

SM15TY

The SM15TY Transil™ series has been designed to protect sensitive automotive circuits against surges defined in ISO7637-2 and against ESD according to IEC 61000-4-2 and ISO10605. The Planar technology makes it compatible with high-end circuits where low-leakage current and high-junction temperature are required to provide reliability and stability over time. SM15TY are packaged in SMC (SMC footprint in accordance with IPC 7531 standard).

SM6TY

The SM6TY Transil™ series has been designed to protect sensitive automotive circuits against surges defined in ISO 7637-2 and against ESD according to IEC 61000-4-2 and ISO 10605.
