AS168X Series Circuit Breakers

SCHURTER's AS168X thermal magnetic, high-performance miniature circuit breaker is approved for both UL 508 manual motor controller and UL 1077 supplementary protector standards. In addition, the AS168X offers AC and DC in the same frame size.

AS168X - AC series offers ratings of 0.5 A to 52 A at 480 Y / 277 V_AC with an interrupt capacity of 10 kA, making it well-suited for industrial applications such as HVAC systems, commercial ovens, industrial printers, and factory automation equipment. The UL 508 manual motor controller provides motor disconnect from 0.5 A to 30 A and provides motor protection from 1/10-20 horsepower for applications such as motor and control panel applications.

AS168X - DC series, rated 0.5 A to 52 A at 360 V_DC with an interrupt capacity of 10 kA, is ideal for industrial converters, inverters, and test systems. The family has three levels of short circuit protection, categorized by F / DF, G / DG, and H / DH curves.

AS168X is available in AC or DC units from one to four poles. Multi-pole devices are connected internally and at the handle for simultaneous operation. This applies also to combinations with the switched neutral pole. The thermal magnetic, positively trip-free breaker with manual on / off actuation has a high endurance of 6,000 cycles (In) and is operational with an ambient temperature range of -20°C to + 60°C.

AS168X series is DIN rail mountable, style EN50022, for quick installation; compact in design, measuring 17.5 mm in width, these circuit breakers conserve panel space and are well-suited for high-density configurations. Ingress protection of IP40 from the front side in accordance with IEC 60529 and the circuit breaker is RoHS compliant. Various accessories are available for the AS168X series including a factory mounted switched neutral pole, remote relay / shunt trip module, and lockout attachment, as well as auxiliary and signal contact options.
