Image of Keystone Electronics' Color-Coded, Auto Blade Fuse HoldersIdentification of automotive blade fuses on a PCB is now simplified with Keystone Electronics incorporating colored insulator bodies to their successful series of low insertion force, reliable, and compact SMT and THM automotive blade fuse holders. These products are available in surface-mountable (SMT) and through-hole (THM) mounting styles for PCB applications. The holders are supplied in colors to match the colors of the automotive fuses: 10 (red), 15 (blue), and 20 (yellow) amp. These holders act as a quick identifier for users, installers, and maintenance personnel in fuse identification on electronic devices.

The colored insulators also help to protect contacts and fuses as well as reduce assembly time. The holders are supplied with tin-nickel-plated brass contacts designed to secure and support the installed fuse from shock and vibration. The colored insulators are made of UL 94 V-0 nylon and are uniquely designed to accept "mini", low-profile "mini", and standard-style automotive blade fuses.
