Digital diagnostic monitoring interface is available via an I2C interface. It supports the evolution from 4G to 5G architecture needs and passive optical network (PON) upgrades for increasing overall network capacity to 25 Gbps. It dedicates a transparent wavelength from the remote radio head (RRH) up to the hub node where centralized functions are located.
