iWave Systems' controller IP core supports secure digital, a multimedia cards, SD combo cards, SDHC UHS-I, and SDXC
iWave Systems' SD/SDIO 3.0 host controller is compatible with the SD physical layer (PHY) Specification Version 3.0. The core supports the AXI4 lite interface for control and status register access and the AXI4 memory-mapped (AXI4-MM) interface for data transfer through the ADMA2 mode. The host interface is compatible with the standard register set for the host controller as per the SD host controller Specification Version 3.0.

- Cyclic redundancy check (CRC) for command and data
- Controller supports standard register set for the host controller
- Core offers UHS-I mode of operation
- Supports the following UHS-I modes of operation:
- SDR12: SDR up to 25 MHz 1.8 V signaling
- SDR25: SDR up to 50 MHz 1.8 V signaling
- SDR50: SDR up to 100 MHz 1.8 V signaling
- SDR104: SDR up to 208 MHz 1.8 V signaling
- Host for SD cards and SDIO devices
