CAT5e and CAT6 Shielded Etherlatch™ Cables

Io Audio Technologies CAT5e and CAT6 shielded etherCON-compatible cables are perfect for both working musicians and professional sound technicians. They are designed for solid digital audio connections such as digital snakes, AES50, and MADI formats, as well as lighting protocols such as DMX 512 and ArtNet. The CAT5e cable features the same durability and dependability (within CAT5e standards) as the CAT6 cable in a more price-sensitive package; both can withstand the rigors of the road and modern digital audio equipment. The CAT6 cable offers exceptionally low skew delay.

The CAT5e and CAT6 cables provide an ultra-stable connection and are fully compatible with standard etherCON chassis connectors. The cables contain four high-quality twisted pairs plus a drain wire and are shielded to protect against EMI and crosstalk between cables. There are two interchangeable connector options, the IO-EC-L and IO-EC-X. The IO-EC-L Etherlatch connector allows for the zinc shell to be twisted off to reveal the RJ45 connectors inside the housing, so the cables can be used with standard networking equipment.
