The XMPL capacitors are lower in cost when compared to tantalum capacitors of similar size [standard 7343: 7.3 mm x 4.3 mm x 1.9 mm (L x W x T)].

One XMPL capacitor can replace up to three aluminum electrolytes depending on the application and values, which can essentially balance out the cost differential while providing higher performance and longer life.
