ADES1830/1831 Precision Energy Metering ICs with Integrated ADCs

Analog Devices ADES1830 and ADES1831 high-performance energy metering ICs are designed for single-phase and polyphase systems. These devices integrate precision ADCs, a flexible digital signal processing core, and multiple communication interfaces to support a wide range of energy monitoring applications. The ADES1830 supports up to three voltage and three current channels, while the ADES1831 extends this to four voltage and four current channels, making it suitable for more complex metering setups.

Both ICs feature a low-drift voltage reference, programmable gain amplifiers (PGAs), and temperature compensation mechanisms to ensure long-term measurement stability. The integrated DSP engine calculates active, reactive, and apparent power, as well as RMS values and power factor, with high accuracy. These ICs are ideal for use in smart meters, industrial power monitors, and energy management systems where precision and reliability are critical.
