DigiKey Marketplace Success Story – Maple Systems
In 2019 DigiKey launched Marketplace to create a repository for engineers, technicians, and general consumers across all industries to find their electronics and technology product needs in one place. This blog series highlights supplier testimonials for DigiKey’s sales and distribution programs.

This success story features Maple Systems, who joined the DigiKey line card in 2019 and participates in the Marketplace program. Diane Callahan, Director of Sales from Maple Systems, discusses the experience of partnering with DigiKey.
My name is Diane Callahan, and I am the Director of Sales for Maple Systems. Maple Systems sells HMIs, Industrial PCs, and PLCs to a variety of OEMs, System Integrators, and Value-Added Resellers who specialize in industrial and automation applications. Our sales have more than doubled every year, going from less than $20,000 the first year to over $200,000 in 2023.
Working with the Marketplace portal makes adding and updating part numbers fast. The templates that DigiKey provides make adding features and attributes easy. Our account rep is outstanding and is always willing to help and troubleshoot if anything comes up. The partnership we have with Digi Key has been a great addition to our sales funnel, allowing us to show our products to companies across the US that would otherwise never know about Maple Systems or what we do. DigiKey is now one of our top 10 sales channel partners.
The auto-email notifications we get when stock levels are low or when an order is placed make it easy to monitor our product offerings. The portal is easy to understand and makes accepting an order fast. I like the fact that we have control over what products are offered, the pricing and inventory are fast to update, and we can offer DigiKey customers another great product.
